<\/strong>PowerChina secures contract <\/strong>for 1.5 GW Al Ajban plant: <\/strong>PowerChina<\/a> Huadong Engineering Corporation secured an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract for the 1.5 GW Al Ajban solar power plant in Abu Dhabi, Construction Week<\/a> reported on Thursday. The plant is set to be home to three of the world's largest solar sites when it becomes operational in 3Q 2026. <\/p>\n

REMEMBER- An international consortium is developing the project: <\/strong>The Emirates Water and Electricity Company (Ewec) <\/span>signed a power purchase agreement<\/a> with an international consortium comprising France\u2019s EDF and Korea Western Power to develop Ewec\u2019s project in April. Ewec had selected the consortium in February and awarded it development rights for the project, with Masdar serving as the local shareholder. The development of the project has an estimated investment ticket of around USD 748 mn, and is expected to generate around USD 2.24 bn in revenues.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
