The oil giant had <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jbic.go.jp\/en\/information\/press\/press-2023\/press_00165.html\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">signed<\/a> a heads of agreement with the bank in January for the facility. Adnoc also signed an agreement with Japan\u2019s <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.enecho.meti.go.jp\/en\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Natural Resources and Energy Agency<\/a> to \u201cenhance energy security and sustainability.\u201d the statement added without providing further details.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong style=\"background-color: transparent;\">Where will the money go?<\/strong><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\"> The proceeds will support Adnoc\u2019s decarbonization efforts and green initiatives, according to the statement. It will also help boost collaboration between Adnoc and Japanese companies, the bank <\/span><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jbic.go.jp\/en\/information\/press\/press-2024\/press_00040.html\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Adnoc has big decarbonization ambitions: <\/strong>The company is angling to achieve net-zero emissions by 2045, and is investing some AED 84.4 bn to decarbonize operations.
