A boost for UAE\u2019s hydrogen production:<\/strong> Abu Dhabi\u2019s Department of Economic Development<\/a>(ADDED)<\/a> and Dubai-based power provider Broaden Energy<\/a> have partnered to establish the first hydrogen equipment manufacturing complex, according to a statement<\/a> released last week. The project aims to attract AED 1 bn in investments and support the Abu Dhabi Industrial<\/a>Strateg<\/a>y<\/a> and UAE National Hydrogen Strategy to develop a hydrogen industrial supply chain.<\/p>\n

Knowledge exchange is an integral part of the agreement:<\/strong> \u201cThe partnership between ADDED and Broaden Energy will facilitate a continuous exchange of knowledge and research, with a focus on renewable energies and green hydrogen technologies,\u201d the statement said, adding that the collaboration will drive innovation and accelerate the adoption of clean energy.<\/p>\n

Part of bigger plans:<\/strong> UAE\u2019s hydrogen strategy<\/a> aims to produce 1.4 mn tons of green hydrogen by 2031, becoming one of the ten largest hydrogen producers. The strategy includes establishing hydrogen hubs and producing hydrogen equipment locally to boost the country\u2019s energy infrastructure and encourage the use of the green fuel in industries. <\/p>\n

About Broaden Energy: <\/strong>The Dubai-based company started operations in 2019 as a mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) provider, according to their website<\/a>.
