The funding round includes investments from global energy technology company <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.slb.com\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">SLB<\/a>, Belgian public investment institutions <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/sfpim.be\/en\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">SFPIM<\/a>, and <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wallonie-entreprendre.be\/fr\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Wallonie Entreprendre<\/a>. Fundraising is slated for completion by the end of June 2024 and the funds will help support the establishment of gigafactories worldwide among other initiatives.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>The company\u2019s been busy in the region: <\/strong>John Cockerill <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/climate\/en\/news\/story\/0ba2af13-c4b1-43e4-8e0e-41df845c0933\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">signed an agreement<\/a> last year with an unnamed Moroccan energy company to develop a value chain dedicated to undertaking green hydrogen projects in Morocco. The company was also <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/climate\/en\/news\/story\/7d5bf169-02cb-404f-9a01-7149d209cb1e\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">exploring cooperation agreements<\/a> with Algeria\u2019s Sonelgaz on green hydrogen, wind turbines' maintenance, and storage in December.
