ELECTRIC VEHICLES-<\/p>\n

UAE to launch electric air taxi service in Ras Al Khaimah:<\/strong> The Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority (RAKTA), Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA), and Skyports Infrastructure have signed an MoU to introduce electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) air taxi services in the UAE\u2019s Ras Al Khaimah, according to a press release<\/a>. The initiative aims to connect key tourist destinations like Al Marjan Island, Al Hamra, and Jebel Jais, reducing travel times and promoting sustainable tourism. Operations are slated to begin by 2027.<\/p>\n

WASTEWATER TREATMENT-<\/p>\n

Wabag <\/strong>to build wastewater treatment plant in Tunisia: <\/strong>India\u2019s water management company Wabag<\/a> has secured an EUR 34 mn contract for a wastewater treatment plan in Tunisia, according to a press release (pdf)<\/a>. The plant will have a capacity of 36 mn litres per day and will receive funding from the French Development Agency (AFD), the European Investment Bank (BEI), and the EU. The project, which will be located in Tunisia\u2019s Sousse Hamdoun II, is set to be completed within 24 months.<\/p>\n

What they\u2019ll do:<\/strong> Wabag will construct the plant under a design, build, operate (DBO) framework and will handle the engineering and procurement, the statement adds. The company will also handle maintenance and operations for 12 months after the plant\u2019s construction. It will also partner with Tunisia\u2019s Entreprise Gloulou Mohamed et Salem for the project\u2019s civil works.<\/p>\n

SOLAR- <\/p>\n

Modon partners with China\u2019s Arctech for solar tech initiative:<\/strong> The Saudi Industrial Cities<\/a>and Technology Zones Authority<\/a> (Modon) and Chinese solar equipment maker Arctech Solar<\/a> will develop a facility for the production of smart solar trackers and building-integrated solar photovoltaic systems in Jeddah's Second Industrial City, according to a press release<\/a>. <\/p>\n

About the facility: <\/strong>The factory will manufacture the SkyWings solar tracking systems with a 3 GW capacity for the regional market and a 10 GW local delivery capacity. It will span about 97k sq meters, according to the press release. <\/p>\n
