The method could help the aviation sector achieve its net zero carbon emissions goal by 2050 as well as cut landfill emissions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>How it works:<\/strong> Using non-thermal plasma technology, the scientists fire high-energy electrons into methane and carbon dioxide emissions from landfills causing hydrogen and carbon to bond. The process produces SAF and serves the dual purpose of reducing landfill emissions. \u201cIt redefines what we think of in terms of chemistry...
