UAE, Kenya collaborate on mining: <\/strong>The UAE\u2019s Investment Ministry and Kenya's Ministry of Finance and National Treasury have also signed an MoU to collaborate on investments in the fields of mining and technology, Wam<\/a> reports. The two countries will look at cooperation in mineral exploration, mine development, mineral processing, refining, and mineral marketing, as well as research and development in the sector, in Kenya. <\/p>\n

Background:<\/strong> Foreign Trade Minister Thani Al Zeyoudi finalized a trade and economic agreement with his Kenyan counterpart Rebecca Miano in February<\/a>, aiming to support growth in trade and investment flows, as well as cooperation on food production, mining, technology, and logistics.<\/p>\n

Another trade and economic agreement coming? <\/strong>Foreign Trade Minister Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi and his Ecuadorian counterpart Sonsoles Garcia agreed to kick off negotiations for a trade and economic partnership agreement between both countries, Wam<\/a> reports. The minister namechecked agriculture, tourism, infrastructure, technology, renewable energy as potential sectors for cooperation. <\/p>\n

Morocco + France partner on agriculture and resilience: <\/strong>Morocco\u2019s Mohammed VI<\/a>Polytechnic University<\/a> and the French National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and Environment<\/a> have signed a letter of intent to establish an international lab focused on the valorization of biomass, organic waste, and microalgae for the production of energy, animal feed, and fertilizers, MAP<\/a> reports. Morocco\u2019s Cr\u00e9dit Agricole<\/a> and The French Development Agency<\/a> extended their partnership by signing two agreements for a loan to finance investments in boosting the resilience and sustainability of Moroccan agriculture and ensuring better food security.<\/p>\n

Morocco <\/strong>also inked a cooperation roadmap with Sierra Leone: <\/strong>Morocco and Sierra Leone agreed to a new cooperation roadmap for 2024-2026, focusing on areas including trade, agriculture, and renewable energy, MAP<\/a> reports. The roadmap also includes boosting cooperation on fertilizers, investment, water, fisheries, mining, investment, and capacity building.<\/p>\n

And<\/strong> talks renewables investment with Germany: <\/strong>Moroccan and German officials discussed boosting partnership in investments and hydrogen during a visit to Berlin by a Moroccan delegation, MAP<\/a> reports. The discussions covered the sustainable development sectors including renewable energies, green hydrogen, electric mobility, and infrastructure investment.<\/p>\n
