Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan met with Uzbek President Shavkat <\/strong>Mirziyoyev to discuss ongoing green energy projects in the country yesterday<\/strong>, Central Asian news agency Trend<\/a> reports, citing the Uzbek president\u2019s office. Saudi and Uzbekistan signed agreements<\/a> worth USD 12 bn in November that will see the kingdom invest in everything from energy, agriculture, chemistry and IT to pharma and infrastructure.<\/p>\n

Saudi \u2764\ufe0f Uzbekistan\u2019s renewables:<\/strong> Saudi renewables giant Acwa Power has poured some USD 7.5 bn into renewable energy projects in Uzbekistan to date. The projects are set to produce some 25 GW of renewable energy by 2030, slashing emissions by 3 mn tons.
