<\/strong>American<\/strong> green transport firm<\/strong>HummingbirdEV<\/a><\/strong> is partnering with <\/strong>IBMC Group<\/a><\/strong>to open a <\/strong>microfactory<\/a><\/strong>facility in the UAE to produce zero-emission commercial vehicles<\/strong>, according to a statement<\/a>. The new facility will leverage the UAE\u2019s freetrade agreements with Southeast Asia, India and the wider MENA region to boost the adoption of green transport, the statement notes.<\/p>\n

The microfactory will specialize in producing EVs for delivery services:<\/strong> The microfactory will focus on producing vehicles for mid-mile delivery, the transport of goods from local hubs\/ports\/factories to local distribution centers, and last-mile delivery \u2014 the transport of goods from the local distribution center to the end consumer \u2014 to meet the region\u2019s growing demand, the statement said. <\/p>\n

About HummingbirdEV:<\/strong> The California-based company specializes in developing scalable EV technology for the commercial sector\u2019s delivery activities in efforts to circumvent current production delays and cost increases arising from global supply chain dependence, according to its website<\/a>.
