Jordan partners with Saudi on energy: <\/strong>Saudi Arabia and Jordan have signed an agreement on energy cooperation, including in renewable energy, energy efficiency, petrochemicals, and hydrogen, AlRiyadh<\/a> reported on Thursday. The agreement aims to enhance cooperation in digital transformation and innovation in the energy sector and develop partnerships to localize its materials, products, services, and supply chains. The agreement will also see them partner in the circular carbon economy and its technologies, including carbon capture, reuse, transportation, and storage.<\/p>\n

And with UAE on EVs: <\/strong>Jordan's Manaseer Group<\/a> signed an agreement with the UAE's W Motors<\/a>, the strategic partner of NWTN Motors<\/a>, to invest USD 80 mn to establish an EV factory in Jordan, the statement<\/a> said. No timeline or expected capacity were disclosed. <\/p>\n

ALSO- <\/strong>UAE <\/strong>+ India partner on renewables:<\/strong> India and the UAE have signed an MoU to partner on renewable energy in India, Wam<\/a> reported last week. The agreement will see them co-invest in the development of 60 GW of renewable energy projects. <\/p>\n

India\u2019s renewable goals:<\/strong> India aims to generate 50% of its electricity needs from renewable energy by 2030. India is also targeting 500 GW production capacity from renewables and a 45% slash in its emissions, offsetting about 1 bn tons of CO2.
