<\/a> Shell Development Oman<\/a><\/strong> has selected Saudi Arabia based hydrogen provider<\/strong> Hydrogen Systems<\/a><\/strong> to develop Oman\u2019s first green hydrogen refueling station<\/strong>, Oman Observer<\/a> reports. Under the agreement, Hydrogen Systems will design, develop and install the refueling station in Muscat. No financial details or a timeline for launch of the project were provided.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s more refueling stations coming:<\/strong> Oman Shell and Oman Airports Management will set up solar-powered green hydrogen fueling stations<\/a> near Oman International Airport by 2024 as part of the first phase of the country\u2019s three-phase green mobility plan<\/a>. The plan aims to facilitate the use of hydrogen cells for heavy long-distance trucks, adding hydrogen fueling stations to existing gas stations, and setting necessary frameworks and legislation for future mobility.<\/p>\n

The UAE is way ahead with its projects:<\/strong> UAE\u2019s Adnoc broke ground<\/a> on the Middle East\u2019s first high-speed hydrogen refueling station last month in Masdar City. The project is expected to be completed and operational this year. Adnoc is also set to fit a second station based in Dubai Golf City with a conventional hydrogen fueling system. The stations will be tested by a fleet of clean hydrogen-powered vehicles provided by Toyota and Al Futtaim Motors. The energy giant\u2019s plans come under a USD 15 bn allocation<\/a> by Adnoc in January to advance and accelerate low-carbon solutions, new energy investments and decarbonization technologies in a bid to slash its carbon intensity by 25% by 2030.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
