The supply chain would involve 100 small and medium sized businesses serving Japan\u2019s growing wind energy sector, which aims to install <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/business\/energy\/japan-aims-become-major-offshore-wind-energy-producer-2023-06-30\/\">10 GW of wind power<\/a> by 2030 and 45 GW by 2045. Last month Japan <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/climate\/en\/news\/story\/fc79d6f5-ac37-4561-9a6d-4062d4998186\">increased its target<\/a> for wind power generation from 5 GW currently to 140 GW by 2050. Toshiba, which in 2021 entered into a partnership with GE to localize manufacturing of the latter\u2019s Haliade-X offshore wind turbines, says it will begin production of its units in 2026.<\/p>\n<p><strong>OTHER STORIES WORTH KNOWING ABOUT THIS MORNING-<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The US and India<\/strong> are looking to establish an <strong>investment platform<\/strong> that aims to boost <strong>private<\/strong> <strong>investments <\/strong>for <strong>green projects<\/strong> by working on lowering the cost of capital.
