The plastic waste derived oil (PDO) was processed at Aramco-TotalEnergies JV SATORP refinery in Jubail. The PDO was used later as a feedstock by Sabic affiliate Petrokemya for the production of certified circular polymers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why this matters:<\/strong> The process would pave the way for the use of non-sorted plastics \u2014 which are often complex to recycle mechanically \u2014 to solve the dilemma of end-of-life plastics, the statement notes.
