No financial details were disclosed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>REMEMBER-<\/strong> Saudi renewables giant Acwa Power is developing the USD 165 mn solar farm, and has <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/climate\/en\/news\/story\/2e9b07ee-ebee-43bc-8cd5-34f504462f6b\">secured USD 123 mn<\/a> in green loans from several multilateral lenders. The solar farm is expected to be commercially operational in 3Q 2024 and will power some 130k households in Egypt.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"grey-line\">\n<p><strong>Six green projects participating in the Climate Finance Accelerator (CFA) <\/strong><strong>graduated from the UK-backed financial accelerator program in Egypt<\/strong>, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/ent.news\/2023\/5\/1948.pdf\">press release (pdf)<\/a>. The projects were presented to local and international investors at an event hosted by the British Embassy yesterday for feedback on how to strengthen their project proposals. The six projects have received months of tailored support and analysis from a financial and technical perspective to enable investments, the statement notes. Eight projects were initially <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/climate\/en\/news\/story\/002ee2cb-c73a-4206-a217-7832c9149f49\">selected<\/a> in January, in addition to one-off capacity building support to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.climateresiliencefund.org\/\">Climate Resilience Fund<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The six initiatives presented: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aldawara.com\/\">Al Dawara<\/a> for plant-based single-use products.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/farmtopia.farm\/\">Farmtopia<\/a> for AI use in irrigation.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/irs-c.com\/about-us\/\">IRSC Renewable Energy Solutions<\/a> for agricultural and financial support to small-scale farmers.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.renile.net\/\">ReNile<\/a> for advanced monitoring technologies to promote precision farming.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/TileGreenMaterials\/\">Tile Green<\/a> for eco-friendly building materials from plastic waste.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/zr3i.com\/ar\/about_zr3i\">Zr3i<\/a>, a digital agriculture platform focused on precision farming.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>About the CFA:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.press\/stories\/2022\/10\/05\/this-morning-just-a-few-short-hours-until-the-long-weekend-83013\/\">Announced prior to COP27<\/a> in November, the CFA is a GPB 11.8 mn technical assistance program funded by the UK Energy Department\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/guidance\/international-climate-finance\">International Climate Finance<\/a> (ICF) initiative as part of the UK's efforts to support climate action on a global scale under the Paris Agreement.
