Al Marri made the statements during a meeting in Rabat with several key Moroccan ministers and officials on the sidelines of the first session of the joint economic committee between the UAE and Morocco.<\/p>\n

REMEMBER-<\/strong> Morocco has been emerging as a key renewables player in the MENA region. Last month, its ambitious UK-Morocco power cable<\/a>got backing<\/a> from the UAE and renewables investor Octopus Energy. The massive interconnection project saw the UK-based renewables developer Xlinks securing GBP 25 mn in funding<\/a> from The Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (Taqa) and GBP 5 mn from Octopus Energy.<\/p>\n
