How much energy are we talking?<\/strong> Tech giant Google says artificial intelligence ate up between 10-15% \u2014 or 2.3 TWh \u2014 of its overall electricity consumption in 2021, the business information service notes. A single training of OpenAI\u2019s GPT-3 reportedly generated some 502 tons of CO2 and consumed enough energy to power 120 US homes for a year, according to research<\/a>.
