Siemens is keen on boosting MENA\u2019s green hydrogen production capacity:<\/strong> Egypt\u2019s Electricity and Renewable Energy Minister Mohamed Shaker met with Siemens Energy\u2019s Egypt Managing Director Layla El Hares to explore potential cooperation on green hydrogen and renewable energy generation capacities earlier this month<\/a>. Siemens Gamesa \u2014 a subsidiary of Siemens Energy \u2014 is a major player in Egypt\u2019s wind energy sector, and is involved in the Ras Ghareb<\/a>, West Bakr<\/a>, and Gabal El Zeit<\/a> projects in the Gulf of Suez.<\/p>\n

And has SAF production in its sights:<\/strong> Siemens energy partnered with Masdar, Marubeni, and TotalEnergies in January<\/a> to obtain licenses certifying the feasibility of producing sustainable aviation fuel from methanol gas.<\/p>\n
