The project will be implemented by Saudi French for Energy Efficiency and Renewables (<a href=\"https:\/\/safeer-solar.com\/a-new-joint-venture-for-renewable-energy\/\">Safeer<\/a>) \u2014 a JV set up by Total and Saudi\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zahid.com\/\">Zahid Group<\/a> subsidiary <a href=\"https:\/\/www.altaaqa.com\/\">Altaaqa Alternative Solutions<\/a> in 2021 <a href=\"https:\/\/pitchbook.com\/profiles\/company\/462236-59\">to provide<\/a> solar installation services to commercial and industrial companies, the outlet says.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who\u2019s financing?<\/strong> Safeer is investing in the project, Managing Director of Total\u2019s refining and chemical operations in Saudi Ahmed Tarzi told Arab News, without disclosing the size of the investment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For KAEC and Safeer, this is not their first rodeo: <\/strong>The companies signed a letter of intent to establish \u201ca major hybrid solar power farm project\u201d in August, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/safeer-solar.com\/kaec-is-going-green-with-safeer\/\">a statement<\/a>. The agreement sets out a framework to develop a project with an estimated 12.5 MWp capacity.
