Despite the hefty cost of the electric battery (nearly six times the USD 510 car\u2019s price), the investment was worth it, Al Saeed says. He used to fuel up nearly every other day \u2014 a hefty financial burden that soon proved to be unsustainable (in more ways than one). Thanks to his new investment, charging his car costs him around USD 0.50 for almost every 100 km traveled.<\/p>\n
