<\/a> Saudi Arabia has announced five new renewable energy projects <\/strong>with a combined capacity of 3.3 GW<\/strong>, the Saudi Press Agency<\/a> reported yesterday. The projects consist of wind and solar farms, and were launched by the country\u2019s power procurement agency, which is the principal buyer.<\/p>\n

The breakdown:<\/strong> The country announced three wind facilities that will have the capacity to produce 1.8 GW of power and two solar farms with a combined capacity of 1.5 GW.<\/p>\n

How much will all of this cost?<\/strong> The government has not disclosed the financial details of the projects, but the price tag will likely stretch into nine figures USD.
