India is one of the world\u2019s biggest emitters of greenhouse gas, and is targeting net-zero emissions by 2070.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Also in India: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.climateinvestmentfunds.org\/country\/norway\">Norway\u2019s Climate Investment Fund<\/a> and its biggest pension company, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.klp.no\/en\">KLP<\/a>, are collectively investing some USD 35 mn for a 49% stake in a 420 MW solar power project in India, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2022\/08\/25\/norway-invests-in-indian-solar-project-sees-it-as-a-priority-market.html\">CNBC<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2022\/08\/25\/norway-invests-in-indian-solar-project-sees-it-as-a-priority-market.html\">reports<\/a>. The plan is expected to receive, sort, process and recycle municipal solid waste that can produce organic compost for agronomic purposes.<\/li>\n<li><strong>South African renewables provider WiSolar is launching a hybrid prepaid solar <\/strong><strong>electricity app for Nigeria and South Africa<\/strong>, according to a statement picked up by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.renewableenergymagazine.com\/pv_solar\/wisolar-launches-hybrid-prepaid-solar-electricity-platform-20220824\">Renewable Energy Magazine<\/a>.
