Of the new additions, 109 GW came from onshore wind and 8 GW from offshore. The GWEC expects a compound annual growth rate of 8.8% for the industry over the next five years, pushing global wind capacity up by another 981 GW by 2030.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Who\u2019s leading?<\/strong> China once again dominated the market, contributing 80 GW of new capacity \u2014 two-thirds of the global total.
