The SouthCoast Wind, a 2.4 GW farm off Massachusetts, will power over 840k homes with 141 turbines. A joint venture of Portugal\u2019s EDP Renewables and France\u2019s ENGIE, the project has been in development since 2018 and aims to begin construction next year, delivering power by the decade\u2019s end. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Offshore wind\u2019s future uncertain: <\/strong>The approval also comes just before President-elect Donald Trump \u2014 previously promised to halt the industry \u2014 takes office. Also, through its H2Global hydrogen initiative, Germany inked a 20-year <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/climate\/en\/news\/story\/f5abf384-29b6-40d9-bc15-0d60974a882e\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">EUR 397 mn green ammonia offtake agreement<\/a> in July for green ammonia produced at UAE-based Fertiglobe\u2019s plant at Ain Sokhna, Egypt. The agreement will see Fertiglobe export 19.5k tons of green ammonia to Germany in 2027, potentially scaling up output to a cumulative 397k by 2033. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>#4- <\/strong><strong>Wells <\/strong><strong>Fargo joins NZBA exodus: <\/strong>Wells Fargo has withdrawn from the Net-Zero Banking Alliance (NZBA) without giving reasons for the exit, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/sustainability\/sustainable-finance-reporting\/wells-fargo-departs-climate-banking-group-another-high-profile-exit-after-2024-12-20\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Reuters<\/a> reported on Friday.
