report:<\/strong> The world is on the cusp of a new era of electricity, with fossil fuel demand expected to peak by the end of this decade, according to a new energy outlook <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ent.news\/2024\/10\/1362.pdf\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">report (pdf)<\/a> from the International Energy Agency (IEA). The shift could result in surplus oil and gas supplies, potentially driving more investments into green energy.
