<\/strong><strong>Hurricane <\/strong><strong>Beryl is en route to hit Texas:<\/strong> After weakening to a tropical storm, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nhc.noaa.gov\/refresh\/graphics_at2+shtml\/055114.shtml?tswind120#contents\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Hurricane Beryl<\/a> is intensifying back to a Category 1 hurricane, possibly reaching a Category 2 \u2014 as it approaches southern Texas through the Gulf of Mexico, and is expected to make landfall between Galveston and Corpus Christi today. The hurricane is bringing extreme winds of up to 58 mph, flooding up to 15 inches, and life-threatening storm surges with it. Having secured USD 6.5 bn deals with BlackRock, TPG, and Brookfield Asset Management last year, Alterra is now planning further allocations. The sale is expected to close by the end of the year pending regulatory approvals.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong style=\"background-color: transparent;\">Behind the decision:<\/strong><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\"> Veolia was fined USD 10 m by Morocco\u2019s Competition Council back in January after the council accused the firm of monopolizing water and electricity services in major cities including Casablanca, Rabat, and Tangier, <\/span><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.moroccoworldnews.com\/2024\/01\/360469\/competition-council-fines-veolia-10m-for-unauthorized-economic-concentration\" rel=\"noopener\">Morocco World News<\/a><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\"> reported earlier this year.
