This marks the company's first bond issuance since announcing its green energy shift in 2022, after its USD 1.5 bn dual-tranche issuance in 2021.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Where will the funds go?<\/strong> The funds raised will support OCP's development plan, which includes a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ocpgroup.ma\/Strategy\/Commitments\/Green-Investment-Program\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">USD 13 bn strategy<\/a> to transition entirely to renewable energy for its industrial processes with plans to invest in green hydrogen for ammonia production and desalination projects. OCP plans to power all of its industrial facilities with clean energy by 2027.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>OCP has been reeling in funds:<\/strong> The fertilizer company received a total of <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/climate\/en\/news\/story\/90526ca2-4f48-4fea-8838-9b46c1a10374\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">USD 188 mn<\/a> in loans for desalination and renewable energy storage projects from the African Development Bank (AfDB), the Clean Technology Fund (CTF), and the Canada-African Development Bank Climate Fund (CACF) back in February.
